Why Choose Our Olive Trees?

Aged for Beauty & Strength – Our trees have spent decades developing striking, sculptural trunks and robust root systems, ensuring a seamless transition to their new home.

Hardy & Low Maintenance – Olive trees thrive in a variety of climates, including coastal regions where they withstand salt-laden winds and sandy soils.

Evergreen Elegance – Their silvery-green foliage provides year-round beauty, adding a soft contrast to contemporary and natural landscapes alike.

Olive Tree Care for Coastal Gardens

Olive trees are well-suited to coastal environments, but proper care will help them flourish:

Sun & Soil: Plant in a sunny location with well-draining, sandy or loamy soil. Avoid heavy clay soils unless improved with organic matter and sand.

Watering: While drought-tolerant, newly planted trees need regular watering until established, this will also remove air pockets around root systems. Afterward, they thrive with minimal watering, making them ideal for water-wise gardens.

Wind Resistance: Olive trees naturally withstand strong coastal breezes, but planting in a sheltered position will encourage faster growth.

Pruning & Shaping: Prune annually to maintain shape, remove deadwood and new sprouting leaves you do not want which will improve airflow through the branches. This encourages fruiting and a graceful, sculptural form.

Fertilizing: A balanced slow-release fertilizer (10-10-10) in early spring will promote healthy growth, while a light application of seaweed extract can help boost resilience in coastal conditions. Coastal soils can be sandy and low in organic matter, meaning nutrients wash away quickly. Regular organic mulching (e.g., compost, aged manure) helps retain nutrients.

pH Preference: Olive trees prefer slightly alkaline to neutral soil (pH 6.5-8.5). If your soil is too acidic, adding dolomite lime can help adjust pH.
